Finished the Tamiya 1/10 scale RC Buggy I bought earlier in the month. I'm quite pleased with how it all came together and the final chrome look is certainly eye-catching.

FIA GT Round 1 Silverstone
Although foggy and damp the day was well worth it. Lots of action as the drivers struggled to cope with a cold track. The main event was probably the most exciting with the final places only decided on the penultimate lap as the Jet Alliance DBR9 and Vitaphone MC12 finally found a way past the UK based GigaWave team on their first outing with the Aston DBR9.

Scientists Create Genetically Modified Super Tree Rabbit!
Scientists from University of Washington have managed to combine rabbit genes with those of poplars to create a tree capable of mopping up toxins from the environment.
Whilst the benefits of removing pollutants such as benzene and chloroform may sound appealing, the ecological and ethical impact should not be ignored.

It Was Dead When I Found It, Guv'ner!
04 February 2008 - Sowetan News
Three security guards arrested after they were found in possession of a dead rabbit in Mpumalanga appeared in court on Friday on charges of being in possession of a dead animal.
They were not asked to plead and were released on a warning – pending their next appearance in the Komatipoort periodical court on March 12 .
Moses Thwala, 31, Ernest Mbebe, 32, and Bongane Shongwe, 23, were arrested last Thursday after they allegedly picked up a dead rabbit at the Marloth Park community game reserve.
“I don’t know why we were arrested. We didn’t kill that rabbit; we found it dead after it was knocked down by a car,” said Thwala.
An Mpumalanga Parks Board spokesman said: “We arrested them in terms of an act that forbids people from picking up dead animals in the park.”

Yersinia Pestis Bunny

- Albuquerque Tribune (Link here)
Yersinia pestis is a Gram-negative facultative anaerobic bipolar-staining (giving it a safety pin appearance) bacillus bacterium belonging to the family Enterobacteriaceae. The infectious agent of bubonic plague, Y. pestis infection can also cause pneumonic and septicemic plague. All three forms have been responsible for high mortality rates in epidemics throughout human history, including the Black Death that accounted for the death of approximately one-third of the European population in 1347 to 1353.

Bunny Saviour
Thanks Jeff, for this link from Stupid.com

"...The question that screams at us is, "Why would someone make this?" It is just TOO STRANGE.
Not surprisingly, we bought this item at a closeout sale. It is the sort of curio that nobody in the world can sell but a website called Stupid.com. We don't have many (some might say that even ONE is too many), so if you want to own a Rabbit Nativity, you should grab one now."

Led Zeppelin
The stadium is plunged into darkness and the video wall starts playing a clip from the 'The Song Remains The Same' tour in 1973...
'Good Times Bad Times'
Kicking off the show with the first track from their first album the band waste no time in setting out their stall. These guys mean business.
'Ramble On'
The band slide straight into this slower, bluesy number punctuated with fragments of harsh electric guitar from Page.
'Black Dog'
This is the first time that Plant interacts with the crowd. The audience sing along to the "ah-ahs" before Page punches out this song's killer riff
'In My Time Of Dying'
This song has it all, and was my highpoint. It's hard to express how emotional it was to hear this song being played live by this band. I'm crying.
'For Your Life'
Plant wishes everyone "good evening" before leading us into the live debut of this track. Perhaps one of the most accomplished and rounded of all their renditions this evening. By now no-one is expecting any less.
'Trampled Under Foot'
Plant announces how this recording was an attempt to emulate Robert Johnson's 'Terraplane Blues' by its liberal use of automotive metaphors.
'Nobody's Fault But Mine'
The huge screen fills the backdrop in the O2 Arena, playing rapid monochrome and colour images - quite spectacular.
'No Quarter'
JPJ demonstrates his keyboard skills and opens with the haunting phased piano that runs through this epic track
'Since I've Been Loving You'
An epic version....very bluesy with Page's signature violin bow making an appearance.
'Dazed And Confused'
A nostalgic rendering at the end of which had Plant announcing, "On guitar, Jimmy Page", just as he did in Madison Square Garden in the 1973.
'Stairway To Heaven'
"Ahmet, we did it!" was the simple statement that Plant used to capture the emotional high the band had reached by this point
'The Song Remains The Same'
Page continues to dazzle by keeping with his Gibson EDS-1275. There are no clichés here. This is the real deal.
'Misty Mountain Hop'
Plant gives thanks to Jason. Not a single fan could be disappointed with the performance he gave.
'Kashmir'
Somehow they raise the bar again with this landmark work. Plant declares "We've got people from 50 countries here and this is the 51st". Page strikes the riff and the sound becomes a rolling wave that lifts and carries twenty thousand fans to a higher consciousness.
'Whole Lotta Love'
The guys leave but of course they return for their first encore. After this homage to Willie Dixon, Plant announces "Thanks to everybody. Thanks Ahmet Ertegun, this one is for Ahmet Ertegun as we remember the days when Atlantic Records was the best label on the planet!"
'Rock And Roll'
With the whole arena now on their feet, the band rap up the show with this rousing and upbeat number
Awesome.

Astro Bunny

Floating overhead yesterday, it was a jubilant reminder of the way contemporary artists dip in and out of mainstream life, effortlessly working high, low and in between. That is where the latest, biggest “Rabbit” is suspended, and where it will stay. Owned by Macy’s and slated to fly in future parades, it will not be turning up at auction any time soon.

Jeff Koons (born January 21, 1955), is an American artist. He is noted for his use of kitsch imagery using painting, sculpture and other forms, often in large scale. Born in York, Pennsylvania as a teenager he revered Salvador Dalí. His work includes statuary such as "Michael Jackson and Cuddles" which sold for for over $5M in 1991 and "Puppy" which was purchase by the Guggenheim Museum Bilbao in 1997
