A lovely weekend with Jon, Lesley, Myles and Steph. Had a Day trip to Warwick Castle with fun in the castle dungeon tour. The falconry display was also very entertaining. Plus we got to carve some pumpkins and play CodeNames which the kids seemed to love.

London 2016

A short London break was had, during which we visited the O'Keeffe exhibition at the Tate Modern and also took in plenty of other sights. The White Cube in Bermondsey were exhibiting Antony Gormley's latest show 'Fit', we visited the Geffrye museum of the Home and we also did an impressive amount of walking between King's Cross, Islington, Camden, Regent's Park, Tower Bridge and Leicester Square to name but a few.

Lego Brickworks Exhibition

Calling LEGO® builders and mini-brick architects big and small… A world of imagination and creativity is waiting for you! Discover the endless possibilities of these much loved little bricks, as we journey through history and around the globe.

With over 70 awe inspiring models, including Old London Bridge and the ISS, marvel at the shapes and structures that can be snapped together to create the most iconic man-made, natural and ancient wonders of the world.

Also on display for a limited period is Lady Godiva who has been depicted in Lego.
It took a total of 65,000 of the mini plastic bricks to build the mosaic now on show on the floor of the city’s Herbert Art Gallery.
The four metres square mural is based on the gallery’s famous Lady Godiva painting by Pre-Raphaelite artist John Collier from about 1898.
Children were each given a grey base plate with instructions showing them how to arrange the bricks in the project which was part of the Brick Wonders Family Day.
The final mosaic was then created by a charity called Fairy Bricks who buy, collect and build sets to send to hospitals.
