Norwich

We had a short getaway and returned to my roots in Norwich. Little Barn near Poringland was an ideal base which allowed us easy access to the city where we explored the castle, cathedral and had a novel experience at Cryptic Escape rounded off with a stop at Grimes Graves and Ely on the way home.

On our last day we headed North again to visit the Broomhill Sculpture Gardens. The woodland setting, blanketed in sunshine was a very pleasant way to spend a couple of hours.
From here we continued on towards Ilfracombe and bought another picnic which we enjoyed on Hele beach. After exploring the cove and incredible rock formations we left the seaside and Devon to return home.
